The Garages of Korea: High Rises and Exotic Cars
(Sorry for extremely long description, I just had a lot to say) I’ve wanted to make this type of video for a while. When car-spotters usually upload videos, it’s only the vehicle, and most of the time nothing else belonging to the owner. This video is a bit different because I show the cars, and the owner’s house. Korea is a small country, and very mountainous and rugged. Because of this, average suburban houses where you would find in America or Europe are extremely rare and expensive. Here everything is built up. These apartments and high rises can get from villas that are only a few floors tall, to soaring skyscrapers topping out at 60-70 floors. In my video, you will see the high rises in my ‘neighborhood’, which is a strip of road carving in and out from the coast and the ocean (I like to refer this as the Speed Stretch because there is no speed limit on the road, and every time I looked out my window I would see exotics lined alongside it and accelerate really fast!). The buildings have spectacular views, depending on what they’re overlooking; on one side you would see the beach and the ocean. On the other you would see the amazing suspension bridge and the mountains. Take note that in each of these buildings lives hundreds of people, so a ‘neighborhood’ would really be just an apartment. 2007 Toronto Exotic Car Cruise
On Saturday July 07, 2007 in the beautiful city of Toronto Ontario Canada we had an exotic car cruise starting at Square one mall (Hunrontario + 403) we headed up the 403 and hit some twisty back roads in the old Dundas area then we headed across Ridge Road and enjoyed some twisties and elevation changes as well as some fast, straight stretches. We then picked up and head down the QEW and go into Niagara on the lake for our lunch stop at La Cachette restaurant. After lunch we take a scenic and leisurely cruise through Niagara-on-the-Lake, down the Parkway and pass the falls. We stop at Niagara Square Mall to regroup a few more interesting roads and then a sweet 800 meter long tunnel before we get on the 406 leading to the QEW in a convoy back home. The day turned out to be great with beautiful weather. We had roughly 60 cars show up.
