Lancia Delta Hf Integrale Evoluzione GOLD COLLECTION
INTEGRALE VESTITO CHANNEL – The first Evoluzione cars were built at the end of 1991 and through 1992. These were to be the final homologation cars for the Lancia Rally Team; the Catalytic Evoluzione II (below) was never rallied by the factory. In order to improve the handling, the Evoluzione I had a wider track front and rear than earlier Deltas.[1] In order to enclose this track in the bodywork, the wide arches were extended even further and in the process also became more rounded. The wings were now made in a single pressing, whereas previously they had been fabricated. The front strut top mounts were also raised in height in the quest for more grip: this then necessitated a front strut brace to control the forces thus generated. External changes included: new grilles in the front bumper to improve the air intake for engine compartment cooling; a redesigned bonnet (hood) with new lateral air slats to further assist underbonnet ventilation; an adjustable roof spoiler above the tailgate to assist in competition and to emphasise the cars sporty lines; new five-bolt (stud) wheels derived from the rally cars (stronger than the previous design); and finally, the rear of the car was changed with only one exhaust pipe now showing.

Porsche Cayenne Turbo Techart–Chicago Cars Direct HD
2006 Porsche Cayenne Turbo test drive and walkaround with Chris from Chicago Cars Direct—EXCLUSIVE Factory Turbo Power Package. Weve been ever-so-slightly underwhelmed by Porsches first diesel car, the Cayenne V6 diesel. With 3.0-litres, 237bhp and 405lb ft, its performance just doesnt sparkle like a Porsche even a diesel Porsche should, and it looks a little dull too. Seems that Porsche tuners Techart feel the same way, and the firm is now offering a range of upgrades through UK distributor Tech9. The facts and figures of this special Techart Porsche Cayenne, then? Will do, but first we need to clear up some potential confusion. Tech9 will offer a Techart power upgrade for £2500, but the conversion were trying is Tech9s Expedio, which works on the same kind of principles. It costs £2109, and, just like the Techart tweaks, boosts power from 237bhp and 405lb ft to 290bhp and at least 472lb ft and has been independently proven to hit 62mph in 6.9sec 1.4sec quicker than standard. Is it ferociously rapid? Ferocious, no. Rapid, yes. The standard car is pretty lethargic, infuriatingly so during overtakes and on short slip roads. Expedio brings a plumper hit of torque between 2000 and 3500rpm, a proper kick in the back that better befits the Porsche badge and brings some much-needed flexibility. Yes, its still a little thin and hardworked between 3500 and 4500rpm, but keeping it in the powerband is instinctive enough. How does it work? Tech9 has left turbo boost at factory …

Nurburgrin Nordschleife circuit lap record 6:55 !!
In road legal trim and riding on Dunlop Direnza tyres Michael Vergers smashed one the worlds most prestigious production car records in a Radical SR8. The 13-mile Nordschleife circuit lap record now stands at 6 minutes 55 seconds, a full 20 seconds off the next placeholder. The Radical SR8 is powered by a 2.6-litre high-revving V8 engine, built in-house by Powertec, developing 360bhp. It generates enough downforce to be able to theoretically drive upside down and holds the outright lap record at Cadwell Park. With over twenty-five cars built and running, the SR8 is now a well-developed and reliable car. The SR8 is not cheap, but where else in the world can you get a sports car which is designed around the world’s only lightweight V8 engine which develops over 360bhp in standard form? The Powertec RPA enigne revs to 10500rpm, has exceptionally good power and torque curves, and sounds gorgeous! The SR8 is a available with either an ultra-lightweight Hewland JFR six-speed sequential gearbox, with plate-style LSD or the new uprated Quaife RQ2, with it’s ultra-lightweight shift and torque-biasing LSD The SR8 is comfy to sit in (a new, high-sided seat holds the driver in very securely) and all the controls come directly to hand. The pedal box and seat are fully adjustable, enabling drivers of all sizes to fit comfortably, which is just as well as the SR8 will pull 3g around a fast corner, helped by the sporty Dunlop 15” / 16” diameter slicks, designed specifically for the car …
